To start AWS selling via ActivePlatform, you only need an AWS account and to provide us with some information. Our specialists will complete the other integration steps. When it's done, your AWS account will be used as a parent organization for customers who order the service as a subscription in the platform:
  • If a customer does not have an AWS account, the platform creates a new one under your parent organization.
  • If a customer already has an AWS account, the platform adds it to your organization.
In both cases, only an email address for the root user is required. It is used to link the ordered subscription to the customer's AWS account. For better security, the platform does not ask and store third-party passwords.

Automated billing and invoicing for AWS

ActivePlatform uses the subscription model for every cloud service. For instance, an AWS subscription itself is free — a customer pays only for the resources consumed in the previous month. ActivePlatform does not store any prices locally. It relies on the data retrieved from Amazon Web Services. So, you may be sure your customers are always billed correctly.

At the beginning of a month, the platform issues a PDF invoice to customers. It may include only one subscription or all AWS subscriptions of a customer's account in the platform. Feel free to choose the option individually for every customer.

Among the invoices, ActivePlatform provides customers with various analytics charts. They can explore their daily-updated preliminary consumption statistics. When another month ends, the complete detailed data becomes available. The platform can also generate an Excel report for those who prefer to dig into the numbers.

If you want to check new customers' eligibility before allowing them to have an AWS subscription, turn on the corresponding feature. After ordering a subscription, a customer will have to wait for manual approval from your managers to start using the service via the platform.
