ActivePlatform Listed as a Representative Vendor in Recent Gartner Market Guide for Cloud Service Brokerage Report

MINSK, BELARUS – August 30, 2017: ActivePlatform, the market player in automated cloud service brokerage systems announced today that it was listed as a representative vendor in Gartner's Market Guide for Cloud Service Brokerage (1).
Gartner identified ActivePlatform as a representative platform vendor in the Cloud Brokerage Service Platforms category. "The key cloud service brokerage (CSB) roles are aggregation, integration, customization and governance."
According to Gartner, Cloud service brokerage (CSB) "is a role and service offering of growing importance that enterprises must adopt as a key element in their journey to a hybrid IT operating model. Sourcing and vendor management leaders should look for external expertise when employing cloud service brokerage models…
CSB has established itself as a critical component of a successful hybrid cloud strategy…
As cloud adoption becomes mainstream, enterprise leaders are turning to their trusted managed service providers (MSPs) for cloud brokerage functions for their hybrid IT needs when they cannot perform the function themselves."
The key is for the managed service provider (MSP) to make the multi-cloud marketplace available, and to ensure its administration and integration is as frictionless as possible. ActivePlatform has developed a platform with a cloud provider-facing marketplace and an enterprise-facing storefront that is designed to meet these needs.
ActivePlatform feels it is best positioned for cloud providers, industry-wide enterprises, and governments in developing and emerging markets, and for under-served niches in mature markets.
  • MSP and CSP. ActivePlatform enables cloud solution provider (CSP), and managed solution provider (MSP) supporting enterprises and SMB to deliver an aggregated multi-cloud mix of workplace management, collaboration tools, single sign-on, to make enterprises and SMB more successful.
  • IT Hub in industry-wide enterprise. ActivePlatform is also available directly to industry-wide enterprises when they cannot perform the multi-cloud, hybrid cloud aggregation function themselves.
"We believe our inclusion as a representative vendor in the Gartner Market Guide validates why the world's best-known brands and leaders of IT infrastructure operations rely on ActivePlatform, the brokerage system that drives cloud delivery to end customers and profitability to channel, to be the engine their cloud business," said Oleg Tyagunov, ActivePlatform CEO. "Our relentless pace of innovation and modest TCO are extending ActivePlatform's lead in commercial cloud service brokerage on a revenue share and empowering our global service providers with the tools and capabilities required to take immediate action on their cloud business evolution."
Two licensing models are available immediately to meet CSP/MSP or to enterprise OPEX/CAPEX preferences and low TCO requirements and include:
  • Revenue-share licensing: ActivePlatform is reasonably priced for service providers in developing and emerging markets. The basic on-premises deployment package assumes modest deployment fees, includes free warranty support for the first year of usage, and then offers an annual contract for basic technical support. Brokerage fees for ActivePlatform are a percentage of cloud solution provider revenue for provisioned services, based on the multi-tiered discount scale.
  • Enterprise agreement licensing: By integrating licensing components from revenue share model, an annualized one-time payment can be developed to fit the common enterprise agreement terms.
ActivePlatform's simplified administration of reseller channel and unit sales through central management enables a head service provider (MSP or CSP) to manage a multitiered reseller business with thousands of clients dispersed globally with greater efficiency.
Offering customers IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS from a single interface, a service provider unifies and simplifies the ordering process and consumption of cloud services. This leads to an increase in consumption of cloud services from SMB and enterprise customers of a service provider. The completely redesigned user interface maximizes IT administrator efficiency through simplified catalogue management, innovative data visualizations, and controls that implement cloud services consumption and promotions adjustments within seconds.
According to Sid Nag, Research Director, IT Outsourcing and Infrastructure, Gartner: "With more than 90% of organizations becoming hybrid by the end of 2017, it is critical to assess the current environment, as well as outline the path forward. The path from physical, to virtual, to public and private cloud will require orchestration and synchronization of services and models to ensure the desired results are achieved. This role, whether internal or external, is as critical as the maestro of the symphony: While the talent and tools may be present, without the guidance, coaching, management and governance, all of it is merely stuff and noise.
The intermediation function of a CSB provider is the means by which enterprises can not only set and maintain the conditions for success, but also continuously level-set/reset expectations to drive and achieve the desired outputs, outcomes and business results in their digital business journey."
